[edit] Acceptable Usage Policy

This document explains what we allow our services to be used for and what we specifically prohibit. This document changes over time as new issues arise due to the changing nature of the internet and changing laws. Please check back regularly.

These rules are to protect the service from abuse for the benefit of all clients and we respectfully request that they are abided by at all times.

The following uses are prohibited and failure to observe these will result in an immediate termination of service without warning.

• Running scripts that do not terminate within a reasonable amount of time. This includes but is not limited to eggdrop or other irc servers. @home or other Distributed computing applications.
• Using our servers to mass mail people who have not confirmed that wish to receive emails from you.
• Spamming or sending UCE
• Using our servers as part of any network or server investigation or probe. Including but not limited to pings, portscans, port knocking, security scans of any time.
• Using scripts that are known to have security holes such as old Version of phpNuke or FormMail.pl scripts.
• Using our servers to run any spidering software. You may install search facilities on your website but you may not use our servers to generate the results by spidering.

• Due to recent hacktivist activity, we regret that we no longer accept religious sites as they have become targets. For example Israely based sites are being hit by Palestinian Hackers and visa versa. This ban includes site about Israel, Jewdaism, Islam (or Muslim), Christianity. Whilst we believe fully in free speech and respect all religions we have sadly had to take this position to protect the vast majority of our clients services.
• Porn or other Adult material that shows primary or secondary sex organs. We do accept adult sites such as adult toy or clothes stores but these must have an entry page that in plain but clear text explains that the site contains adult material and you must be 18 to enter it.
• Any content that is Illegal or promotes Illegal activity
• Copyrighted Material.
• Defamatory content
• Material that is likely or is intended to offend. (Decision on what is acceptable is at the discretion of the company)

Our servers are optimised for Service web pages not for downloading files. Our service is not suitable to be used as an .mp3 ,video or software download site. If we find that any sites are doing this and it is impacting the quality of service to other clients on that server we will request that you stop. We reserve the rights to remove any content if it is affecting the service in an immediate manner.
